Parents

My parents are controlling, overly-protective, and annoying me so much right now. They just made a list of the places I’m allowed to go in the world. And let me tell you something. It’s a short list. I need to get a job so I can escape their giant thumb. I love them. They are very nice people who support me in important areas of my life, but they are pretty damn ignorant when it comes to stuff like this. It’s really no wonder to me anymore why I was so phobic of everything and everyone different from me before I came to college. I feel selfish for asking for more freedom.

my parents e-mailed me a two page list of DOs and DO NOTs for my road trip to chicago this weekend.  i feels ya.

Doubt

was fucking sweet.  i love phillip seymour hoffman [as always] and the lighting throughout the movie was incredible.  also, there were a bunch of parts that tied the story together so well that were just believable enough to not seem stupid/tacked on.  unlike, say, some of those convenient coincidences in slumdog millionaire.  i’m mad at myself for not seeing it in theatres.
